FrançaisLet your vision be world-embracing…” — Bahá’u’lláh The Bahá’ís of Canada are working alongside their friends and neighbours in all parts of the country to apply the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh to their lives and communities. Bahá’u’lláh teaches that the religions of the world come from the same Source and are successive chapters of one religion from God. In a world struggling to establish peaceful co-existence among diverse peoples, Bahá’u’lláh challenges humanity to reject division and embrace a unifying vision of the future of society. The Bahá’í Faith has been present in Canada since 1898, and has grown to more than 35,000 people in more than 1000 localities, who together reflect Canada’s rich cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity. A Diverse and Growing Community The Bahá’ís of this country reflect the diversity of Canada itself, including Indigenous peoples, first-generation immigrants, and multi-generational Canadians of English, French, and other national backgrounds. We are working with an ever-widening circle of people to realize Bahá’u’lláh’s vision for society. Belief and Learning in Action We believe that the progress of society depends upon balanced relationships between the individual, the community, and institutions, each of which has its own responsibilities and roles to further social progress. Social change involves both individual transformation and the creation of just social, economic, and political institutions.
